Steel in billet form is loaded into a furnace with automatic temperature regulation to ensure that the material is correctly heated.
Before it goes into the rolling boxes, the steel is descaled, eliminating surface layers of rust, and thereby avoiding the possibility of it receiving surface damage later during rolling.
After the rolling process, in which the profile can reach lengths of up to 22 metres, it is cut into varying lengths, up to a maximum of 13 metres.
Later roller straightening provides optimum conditions for guaranteeing completely straight profiles.
At the customer's request, the profiles can be supplied
cold-cut or drilled.
Besides the mandatory Admission Control of raw materials, a Heating Control, Dimensional Control, Straightening Control and Final Control are carried out during the manufacturing process. |
